At Project Headspace and Timing, we believe that healing happens in community. Our Veteran Outreach program is designed to create meaningful connections between veterans and the communities they call home.
The Power of Getting Outside
Nature has an incredible ability to heal. Research consistently shows that time outdoors reduces stress, improves mood, and fosters a sense of well-being. That’s why outdoor activities are a cornerstone of our outreach programming.
From group hikes and fishing trips to conservation projects and outdoor skills workshops, we create opportunities for veterans to reconnect with the natural world — and with each other.
Peer Support Networks
Some of the most powerful support comes from those who’ve walked a similar path. Our peer support initiatives connect veterans with fellow veterans who understand the unique challenges of military-to-civilian transition.
These connections go beyond formal programming. They become friendships, support systems, and lifelines that make a real difference in veterans’ lives.
Mental Health Awareness
Breaking the stigma around mental health remains one of our most important missions. Through workshops, community presentations, and open conversations, we’re working to normalize seeking help and support.
The message is simple: asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. And no veteran should have to face their challenges alone.
Get Involved
Our outreach events are open to the entire community. Whether you’re a veteran, a family member, or a community member who wants to make a difference, we welcome your participation.
Check our website for upcoming events, or contact us to learn how you can support our outreach efforts. Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected community for everyone.
